INSTALLATIONS
Java Jazz Café, Tagaytay
An assemblage that follows
the tradition of crafting beauty from recycling
materials exemplified by Arte Povera, yet the
artist seeks to spin her own niche by steeping her work
into the intimately local and ultimately global contexts
of the junk of Cavite and Tagaytay. The new works arise
from levels of construction perceived, challenged, and
manipulated by the artist choosing a a decisively
discursive position as both a collector of garbage and a
creator of beauty, the show being a ringside view of the
face-off between commercial product and socially-engaged
art, between the designs of big business and the vision
of an artist.

RIGODON Art
Informal The
series is an invitation to storytelling. All by itself
one strikes as insight. Taken together, all the frames
form a puzzle informed by all the permutations of
arrangement and movement within the eye: along the
manifold possibilities of jumbling the tiles. Pieced
together every which way, the series generate
stories. The frames extend the dance between artist and
medium to involve the whimsy and memory of the art
viewer, the artseeker who becomes co-maker.
